This Year’s Big Trade Show
One topic we’ve brought up in the Executive Report before is the importance of working on your business, not just in your business. One of the best ways to do this is by getting connected with other members of the industry and learning from their experiences.
Trade shows are a great way to accomplish this; socializing and learning are all baked into a few days away from the daily grind.
One of the year’s biggest shows, METALCON, is still coming up this fall. Since 1991, the Metal Construction Association has hosted this assembly of metal roofing experts and companies to propel the industry forward.
If you haven’t heard of METALCON, here’s what you can expect: METALCON is “the only global event dedicated to the application of metal in construction and design.” With dozens of exhibitors and hundreds of attendees ranging from manufacturers to installers, METALCON is one of the premier trade shows in the industry.
This year’s METALCON will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center from October 30 to November 1 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The show floor will be open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the 30th and 31st and from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the 1st.
If you plan on attending, the first ten visitors can register for free with a promo code: FREEISA. Availability is first come, first served at metalcon.com/register. Also, Early Bird pricing ends July 26, so make sure to register early and save.
METALCON hosts a wide variety of speakers, experts, and industry professionals, headlined this year by keynote speaker and former NFL superstar Joe Theismann.
You can expect educational and informative discussions of technological advances, the economic outlook of metal construction, and more invaluable information.
Our own Todd Miller will share his expert knowledge in two sessions: Metal Roofs Architectural Restoration/Preservation and Maximizing Profitability and Avoiding Pitfalls in Steep Slope Roofing. The first class (1:30 to 2:30 PM on the 30th) covers the role metal roofing plays in the restoration/preservation market. The second class (12:00-1:00 PM on the 1st) is a masterclass on improving your sales efforts and your metal roofing business as a whole. Both are well worth carving out a few minutes from your METALCON visit.
We can’t recommend attending METALCON enough; we’ve always set aside time to attend, and this year will also be well worth the trip.
We hope to see you there!
