By chemically changing the aluminum’s outer layer, anodizing creates a robust and lasting coating that withstands time and weather. Anodized aluminum has already been proven in extreme circumstances and mundane ones, from outer space to consumer electronics.

Lorin makes anodized aluminum for construction and architectural applications in a variety of colors and styles. Together with Lorin, we recently announced the first mass-market aluminum shingle for homeowners. The new anodized aluminum Oxford Shingle brings the existing benefits of a durable, energy-efficient metal roof, now available in beautiful metallic anodized colors. We plan on starting with three colors, but one benefit of anodized aluminum is the ability to create dozens of different hues.
